What is the IGCSE?
The international General Certificate of Secondary Education is a curriculum and assessment system that brings out the best in students. Besides, it develops successful learners through a skills- based approach.

The curriculum encourages students not only to acquire knowledge, but also to:
• Use an exploratory approach to problem solving
• Have confidence in their ability to solve problems
• Apply skills, knowledge and understanding
• Undertake individual projects and work as part of a team
• Develop oral and practical skills.

A Foundation for Success

Students who attain IGCSE qualifications are well- educated, adaptable and thoroughly prepared for their next steps in education and employment.

In the IGCSE curriculum, recalled knowledge is not a goal in itself. For more important is the development of students’ understanding and their acquisition of a wide range of skills, including critical thinking and problem solving.

Recognized
The IGCSE gives students one of the key qualifications needed to meet the entry requirements for many universities worldwide.
